Learning to sing online is a new concept to many as the art of singing goes a long way back in humanities history while the internet has only been around for very few years. This gives some more traditional singing teachers the idea that online singing lessons are not to be trusted and not as good as a singing coach. However is this the case? Let's take a look at the pros and cons of teaching yourself to sing online.

Drawbacks of Online voice Lessons

* Lack of human feedback on your vocal abilities. This is probably the major drawback of something that is largely automated.
* Can go no further than what it is programmed to. A live teacher can guide you beyond the scope of a singing guide or software package.
* More difficult for very social people to get used to. Some people just need to be taught by a real human!
