Any internet marketer knows that ebooks can be sold as a complete information package or given away to market a specific website. A very effective way to use ebooks for marketing is to write them about a product for which you are an affiliate.

To use your ebook as means to market your website, or one you are an affiliate for, is a great way to do it. Simply create a good ebook and pack it full of links for your site, or full of your affiliate links. This ebook can be given away as a free promotion of the information contained on your website and should contain "teaser" information to draw in prospective customers. It is a low cost, and maybe even free way, to promote your website.

The Nintendo Wii is an excellent gaming console - no doubt it at all. However, when something goes wrong with your Wii you can consider yourself out a couple of hundred bucks and weeks away from being able to play any of your favorite Wii games. First I saw some advertisements that promised a quick turnover to repair my Wii for around sixty bucks. I seriously considered this option but after talking to some great people in a couple of the gaming forums I soon realized that I was taking a big chance and that the pricing is just the base cost to have them even look at my Wii. In fact several of the people I talked to said they were taken for much more than the original promised amount once all materials, parts and shipping were added. As far as the quick turnaround time was concerned, I learned that was pretty much an empty promise to lure suckers into their trap. Once someone has your Wii you are pretty much stuck with that service. And most of these companies are fly by night, non professional people looking to make a quick buck.

My RROD Xbox Fix

I bet you wish you'd prepared for this moment, when you're Xbox gives you the red lights of death RROD.

You knew it was coming I know I did, my mates had told me I play way too much to avoid it. And now I too had been struck down by RROD, the infamous Xbox 360 red rings of death!

I'd also been told it would cost me $140 dollars to ship my beloved Xbox to somewhere in Texas, near the Mexico border, where Microsoft will repair it and return it in 3 -8 weeks!

I wish I had taken the advice to let the game cool down for 15 minutes every couple of hours, but when your waist deep in bodies playing " Call of Duty" that's never going to happen.

So what's the problem; and can I discover a RROD Xbox fix?

Right from its launch the Xbox 360 has had heat related problems causing the numerous errors, e74 and other 'e' codes, and all the 1 red ring, 2 red rings, 3 red rings and 4 red rings of death (RROD). 90% of all RROD and e74 errors can be traced to the design flaw of the Xbox x-clamps that hold the CPU & GPU to the heatsinks. Being made of soft metal the x-clamps bend through heat, and bend the motherboard with them. So breaking the soldered contacts with CPU & GPU processors, and so causing the infamous Xbox red rings of death / RROD.

So should you take on a RROD Xbox fix?

I was scared of trying to open my Xbox and possibly doing irreparable damage. I know absolutely nothing of motherboards, heatsinks, CPU's, GPU's, x-clamps, and all the other stuff that makes up an Xbox 360. I also don't have any special tools or knowledge of how to use anything more complicated than a screwdriver or hammer (I'm really good with a hammer!). I'm no technician, and I'd heard of people trashing their Xbox by trying to solder broken connections or other hair brain Xbox fix's.

What is Open Office?

In light of the recent developments of Microsoft's Ad-supported Office Starter 2010, I think it's quite appropriate for people to start looking for an alternative works software. Personally, I think this is a double edged sword for Microsoft. The good part is that their office software will be available to more people for free, but then the downside is that you'll be annoyed by ads flashing on your screen. It might not appear that bad, who knows? 2010 is still months away and we don't know what can change in the next few months, but as it stands, this doesn't seem like something to suffer.


For another thing you don't just suffer ads while you're working on an imortant document or presentation, but you'll have to suffer a lack of functionality that is common with all the other free teasers that want you to buy the whole thing.

So what is Open Office and why is it more beneficial? Long story short, Open Office offers the same functionality as Microsoft Office, except it's totally free software and you don't need to suffer ads while you're working on it. Why wasn't this popular a long time ago? The same reason why Linux isn't mainstream; Apple and Microsoft have dominated the mainstream of operating systems forever.

Linux is merely an alternative for those who can deal with not being able to have the software that they're used to on those operating systems. Anyway, back to Open Office.
